Bird Netting Systems:

There are many different diameters and colours of netting for different applications to suit your requirements. Here are just a few:

Cap nets - used to seal off open internal light well areas of buildings where birds have become a nuisance due to nesting and roosting activity.

Screen nets - used for the underside of canopy areas where birds are interfering with the activities of a company by using the area as a perching point.

Drop nets - used to encapsulate areas of the fronts of buildings either decorative features or indeed the total area when species such as small birds are involved.

Roof nets - used to fully span roofs to stop ingress of pest birds to mechanical plant areas.

BMS recommend fixings supplied in stainless steel are to be used in all instances, galvanised fittings are not to be used unless instructed.

When installed correctly, netting is the most effective way to deny birds access to given areas. The mesh sizes and colour are specifically chosen to suit the bird pests involved. Net comes in various gauges (i.e. the size of the square) and is carefully chosen to combat the pest bird species involved.

A guide to netting sizes:

 Pigeons50mm

 Gulls75mm

 Sparrows19mm

 Starlings28mm

Bird Wire Systems:

Stainless steel wires around building perimeters and internals creating a barrier to the area birds attempt to land. This system is most effective against pigeons and gulls.

The wires are 0.9mm in diameter and supported through their length span. The system is a proven deterrant to deter the perching of birds on ledges and gutters.

The 'Larus' system is for gulls only further information is provided on request.

Bird Spike Systems:

This proven system is to alleviate roosting on buildings of feral pigeons & gulls. It can be fixed by using non damaging adhesive or screw fixing to ledges, gutters & parapets.

Bird Fouling removal and disinfection

This involves removing bird droppings from buildings and then sanitising the areas using special disinfectants, eradicating further possible infestation of insects and mites.

Plastic Strip Curtains to Industrial and Agricultural Buildings

Clear plastic strip curtains can prove a useful deterrent where regular access by staff & machinery is required ie: fork lifts. Also additional benefits would be reducing draughts & heat loss.

The curtains are supplied, installed and maintained by BMS.

Bristle Strip

Used to prevent rodent and bird entry to doors of buildings and storage facilities.
