Important information relating to avian pests:

Pigeons
Pigeons are considered a common pest
Pigeon droppings carry diseases which cause health risk and serious illness, such as ornithosis and salmonella
Pigeon droppings contain an acid content which will damage buildings and paintwork to cars
Pigeon droppings to pavements and fire escapes cause them to become slippery and unsafe
Pigeon presence will encourage a greater inhabitancy to other pigeons
Nesting materials contain insect pests such as fleas, flies and mites
Fouling and contamination of water source and air conditioning systems resulting in health risks to employees, tenants and products
Nesting materials and droppings in rainwater gutters causing flooding and damp problems

Gulls
Gulls are an aggressive bird and have been known to attack people and pets
