BMS only use quality stainless steel fixtures and fittings in all instances.
When installed correctly, netting is the most effective way to deny birds' access.
The mesh sizes and colour are specifically chosen to suit the bird pests involved. Net comes in various gauges (the size of the square) and is carefully chosen to combat the pest bird species involved. Zips can be fitted within the netting to allow for access to services beyond. Netting, when fitted correctly, can be virtually invisible at distance but may also be brightly coloured when circumstances dictate.

| Bird Wire Systems: |
Sprung stainless steel wires around building parapets, ledges, gutters etc. create a barrier to the area preventing birds from settling.
The wires are 0.9mm in diameter and supported through their length span. The system is a proven deterrent against the perching of birds on ledges and gutters where netting would prove impractical. It is virtually invisible at a distance.
There is a somewhat different parallel wire matrix system for deterring gulls from landing on the roofs of buildings. Full details are available on request. |
| Bird Spike Systems: |
Wherever netting is not appropriate, this proven system will alleviate perching & roosting. It is fixed by using non damaging adhesive and/or screw fixing.
It can be used from the narrowest pipe to the widest building ledges & parapets. Again this system is virtually invisible and the wires are cut flat to prevent injury to our installers and birds. |
| Bird Fouling removal and disinfection: |
| This involves removing bird droppings and nests from buildings and then sanitising using special disinfectants, thus eliminating the microorganisms. |
| Plastic Strip Curtains to Industrial and Agricultural Buildings: |
Clear plastic strip curtains can prove a useful deterrent where regular access by staff & machinery is required, for example fork lift trucks in a warehouse or storage facility environment. Additional benefits are the reduction in draughts and maximisation of heat and refrigeration losses.
The curtains are supplied, installed and maintained by BMS. |
| Bristle Strip: |
| Used to prevent rodent and bird entry to doors of buildings and storage facilities. |
